Great Sales and Mahathir stupid comments.

Went to Mid Valley today to get some business clothes. It is been a long time since I bought any of this kind of clothes. Since Jaya Jusco have Great Sales, I decide to check out. Bought a long sleeve shirt and a long pants. 50% off but I still spent like RM100 on it. Nowadays, clothes are not cheap even during sales.

On the local news today, the hottest issue is the sacking of the Proton CEO. Saw the news on TV3 on Mahathir's comments and what a blast. Obviously, as Proton adviser and supporter of the Proton CEO, he is very bitter and angry and keeps blaming everyone including the government. When ask about Proton decision to bring foreigner to lead Proton, he says might as well use foreigner to become PM of Malaysia. WTF is he thinking? Interesting to see if anyone from BN 'dares' to slap his face on this comment.

It rains like mad

Huh! It is raining early in the morning. Thought it would stop in a few minutes but it keeps on raining till 1pm. Force to have my lunch in the cafeteria in my condo or else it will be chinese mixed rice instead of mamak food. I get fed up of eating mamak food.

Quickly took a bus to KLCC and managed to reach there at 2pm. Again, it start to rains and this time very heavily. Stay there till 4pm when rains stopped and later walk to my office in Jln BB. Reach there at 4.30pm and later, it rains again when I want to go home at 5.30pm. Luckily my housemate is there and give me a ride home but we are stuck in the traffic jam for 1 hour in Jln Sultan Ismail.

Reach home at 7.30pm and it is still raining. Go to hawker centre to have dinner and it is still raining when finished eating. WTF. Reach home at 9 pm and it is still raining.

Finally it stopped at 10pm. What a gloomy day

Dusk

I today went back to my old company to collect some payment. Chat with Daven and still remember the good old times with Daven and me in the old office in Jalan Setiawan. The office is on the 2nd floor. Downstairs is a coffee shop run by the tenant staying on the 3rd floor. Now, the 3rd floor tenant is a bit weird and sometimes also annoying. Almost daily for 2 months, around 3-4pm, he will play this song "Huang Hun" by Nicholas Teo so loudly that I could listen inside the office. At first, it is bloody annoying but after few times, get used to it and I always tell Daven that "your good friend is playing his song again" whenever the song is played.

Now the song Huang Hun is bloody nice song with good lyric. Originally sung by Steve Chuo, it is made famous by Nicholas Teo, the winner of Astro Singing Talent Contest.

I met Eason Chan

For the past 1 week, I was in my office in bukit Bintang. Yeah! My office is in KL Golden Triangle. Very high class ah!! hahaha. Actually, I only rent virtual office but I used the business lounge to surf net and do newspaper reading. They even had tea time at 3pm. Rm100 per month is worth the rental.

Last saturday, I went to Times Square after lunch and plan to visit Borders. In the concourse area, 988 FM DJ was talking about launching of a music award. So I just stand there and see since I got nothing to do. Later, HK singer, Eason Chan appears and play some games with 3 contestant. He even sing a verse from his new album. Pretty good stuff. I think I am going to get the album. Of course, pirated copy for me cause the they are selling the original for Rm47 while I can get 3 for RM10. Sorry Eason. Better luck next time.

Rising prices

Ever since the increase of petrol prices a few months back, everything around seems to increase too. Even normal mixed rice I ate at my usual place turns Rm3.50 to 3.80. Just yesterday, our PM says petrol will increase soon. Of course, the local here being kiasu, jammed the petrol station overnight to fill up the tank.

I read recently from The Edge magazine that our CPI index went up as much as 3.2%. Inflation rate goes up. This means that the interest in savings in the bank you had the previous year is practically useless since they pay about 3% interest for FD.

Recently, a good friend of mine is depressed as she is financially in trouble. The husband is not working and she is due to delivered another child next month. There is not much savings and during the confinement period, she will not have income. Hopefully, she will pull through these tough period of time.

Money will not solve everything but it does solve 90% of the problem.
