Back for training

These few days had me going back to my old training centre for revision. I am retaking the Network Infrastructure course. The last time I took it was middle of last year and of course, forgot everything by now since I did not apply what was taught.

At least now, I can do the subnetting and all those binary to decimal conversion and vice versa. Bloody difficult as you need to memorise it for mcse exams. The most difficult paper to pass. Studied testking paper also won't help since network had got nothing to do with selling Microsoft's products. Others like AD, Windows2003, XP, SQL 2000 will surely pass if studied testking alone.

On last weekend, I met my brother who came to KL with his church. Yeah, get a handphone from him since he upgraded to a new one and does not want his old one. So, I just take it and my 3310 can be retired.

Indian Wedding

This is my first time I attended an Indian Wedding. My friend Sree, gets married. The venue is held at Batu Caves (where else in KL). I thought I had to climb the stairs up to the caves but luckily the temple is on the ground floor.

The wedding ceremony goes like this. Music played were traditional Indian music. Consist of a "indian drum" and a "indian trumpet". Dunno what it is called. There is a fat indian monk chanting prayer to the groom at the stage. Later, it is the bride turns. They will gives thanks to each other and their parents. There is also some other stuff going around like the coconut in a plate where they "touch" it. Later the audience "touch" it and pick a flower and throw it to the newly wed. Seriously, I dunno what does it symbolise. The whole thing takes place in an air con room. If not, I would not be sitting there for 45min to watch it.

The whole thing goes on till 8.45pm which makes me very hungry. The dinner is buffet style and everyone rush to grab the food. The queue is so bloody long. I only able to get my food at 9.20pm and by then, the nasi briyani is almost finished. What the heck, I took some chapati as substitute.

Later, go back to the temple hall and congrats the newly wed on the stage and also give away the wedding gift. I packed RM50. Standard in KL. Luckily the food is ok since they got chicken, mutton. If not, I think I will take away RM20 if it is just all vegetarian.

Take a bus back home and reach about 10pm. Overall, I find it a good day. I had attended Chinese, Malay and Indian Wedding. So I am considered a Malaysia kid where my country is supposed to be multi racial.

Pissed Off

The water supply to my house was cut off this afternoon. No thanks to my housemate who did not pay almost a year bill to the condo management. I had to go to the office and pay the water bill and RM30 reconnection fee. Quite pissed off. These kind of thing can be avoided if people takes more responsibility.

On another note, my favourite torrent site finally been shut down. However, I already found other site. Not as good but still got what I needed. MP3, Movies, Ebook, Audiobook.
